Dryer Making a “Falling” Sound? Roller Replacement Solved the Issue

I was recently called to a dryer that was making a strange “falling” sound and vibrating loudly during operation. The client was concerned, as it seemed like something was loose inside. After inspecting the dryer, I found that the problem was with the rollers.

Identifying the Roller Issue

The rollers were worn out and causing the drum to not spin smoothly, which led to the odd noise and vibrations. Worn or damaged rollers are a common cause of such issues, and if left unresolved, they can cause further damage to the dryer over time.

Replacing the Roller Kit

To solve the problem, I replaced the entire roller kit with an original, high-quality set. This included the rollers, axles, and any other components necessary for smooth drum rotation.

Testing the Dryer

After installing the new roller kit, I ran the dryer through a full cycle. The noise was gone, and the dryer was running smoothly, without any vibrations or strange sounds. Everything was back to normal, working like new.

If your dryer is making unusual noises like “falling” sounds or vibrating during use, it’s likely a problem with the rollers.
