The customer reported that the washer was not draining properly and would stop with water remaining inside the tub. Because the unit was installed in a stacked laundry configuration, additional care was required to safely access the washer components.
To prevent cosmetic damage during service, all contact surfaces were carefully protected before the dryer was removed using professional lifting equipment and proper handling procedures. After diagnosis, we confirmed that the drain pump had failed and was no longer able to remove water from the washer.
The defective drain pump was replaced with a new OEM component, and the washer was tested through multiple drain and spin cycles.
After the repair, the washer drained normally and returned to full operation. The project demonstrates the importance of using proper tools and techniques when servicing stacked laundry units to avoid damage to the appliance and surrounding area.
