The customer reported severe sparking inside the microwave whenever it was used. During inspection, we found that the magnetron antenna cap had failed, causing electrical arcing inside the waveguide area. Over time, the arcing damaged the interior metal surface and created visible sparks during operation.
The damaged area was professionally cleaned and restored, the affected metal surface was refinished, and a new OEM magnetron was installed. The microwave was then thoroughly tested to ensure safe and proper operation.
After the repair, the sparking issue was completely eliminated and the microwave returned to normal performance. The unit now heats properly and operates safely without any internal arcing.
