The refrigerator was not cooling properly because the defrost system had failed. A burned-out defrost heater prevented the unit from removing frost during normal operation, causing heavy ice buildup around the evaporator and restricting airflow throughout the refrigerator.
After disassembling the freezer section, we confirmed that the original heater had failed and replaced it with a new OEM defrost heater. The accumulated ice was removed, and the entire defrost system was tested to ensure proper operation.
With airflow restored, the refrigerator is now cooling normally again and maintaining proper temperatures in both compartments.
